A sentence can also have objects and/or modifiers of the subject and predicate. A sentence begins with a capital letter and ends with a period, question mark or exclamation point, depending on whether it is a statement, question or exclamation. 2. Subject-Verb Agreement: The subject must be in singular or plural form. The verb must match the subject. 3. Direct Object Pronouns: There are direct object pronouns, which are used when an object is being described or specified. 4. Indirect Object Pronouns: Indirect objects are often introduced by the phrase "a" + noun, as in "I saw you." With the preposition "a" you can show what you are giving to someone or something. It is commonly used with gerunds, being translated as 'to'. EJ - I am taking a shower to take a bath. 5. Intransitive Verbs: Intransitive verbs do not take a direct object. They must be conjugated in the third person singular or plural or present participle, depending on the tense. 6. Transitive Verbs: Transitive verbs take an object and usually denote action, movement, power, understanding, love, hatred and so on. 1. Reflexive Verb Pronouns: The reflexive verbs are formed with "se" + verb in infinitive form (the same that you find in the dictionary). It's common to use the reflexive pronouns after the verb "to be" (am/is/are - were). 2. Reflexive Pronouns: The reflexive pronouns end in "-self" (myself, yourself, himself, herself, itself, ourselves and themselves). 7. Indicative Mood: To construct the sentence you need to use the indicative mood in all its tenses. The indicative mood is used when we make a statement about things we know for sure; we say what happens and we can prove it. The indicative mood is used in sentences which talk about an action or event that has happened in the past, present or future: 1) A noun is the name of a person, place or thing. cfa1e77820
